The three rulebooks that decide your pay
Every post has to clear three layers: Community Standards, Partner Monetization Policies, and Content Monetization Policies.
What it means for you
Picture a three-story building. The ground floor is the Community Standards, the rules for everyone on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Messenger. If you break these, content gets removed.
The second floor is the Partner Monetization Policies. They judge your whole account: who you are, where you live, whether your content is original, and whether your audience is real.
The top floor is the Content Monetization Policies. They judge each reel or post on its own: its format, its topic, and its tone. A post can be allowed on Facebook and still earn nothing.
✓ Do
- Learn the three names. Meta's warning notices use them.
- Check your account-level and post-level status separately.
- Read old guides with care: the account rules used to be called Monetization Eligibility Standards.
✕ Don't
- Assume a post that wasn't removed is a post that can earn.
- Treat a single de-monetized reel as a small thing. Repeats can cost the whole account.
